Hi all,

My Spec.
AMD 64 (939) 3700+
MSI K8N SLI Platinum Mobo
2 x 1GB Hynix D43 DDR
XFX 7800 GT
Hiper 580w Type R

I am currently running this setup overclocked to 2.4Ghz with a basic FSB increase to 220.

I cannot seem to get it to go past the 220 point, ive heard that the D43`s are`nt A64 friendly but surely i should be able to get a bit higher?

Ive tried increasing the ram, cpu,Nforce voltage but cant seem to break the 220 barrier.

Any help would be really apprieciated.

Thanks

ooEy.

have u lowerd your HTT to 3x ? this would help if not already set, tryed a little voltage increase?
go over the sticky on overclocking in this forum, will b a great help 2 u

Ok cheers for the advice guys, ive read the OC guide and will try again after work.

Ok i got home and dropped the HT to 4 x and managed to get my ram to 230 @1.7 wnich gave me 2.53Ghz (wouldnt go any further)

I then dropped my DRAM to 166 and upped the fsb to 240 and the CPU volt to 1.45 which gives me 2.64Ghz, as my memory isnt running at full speed ive managed to drop the timings to 2.3.3.6 1T.

Im happy with what ive achieved so far but i recon my ram is capable of more but im getting confussed with the volts. I know my ram will take 1.8 quite happily (according to Hynix website) but im not sure if or by how much i should raise my CPU n NForcee volts. The Auto settings are 1.4 for CPU and 1.5 for Nforce

I'd say use a max of 1.55v on the cpu, 1.6v on the chipset. I take it you mean 2.8v on the ram is the max? Remember to keep an eye on your cpu temp (max 60c) using core temp.
