I have a e2180
4gb of 667 mem OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-5400C5 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-087-OC
and a asus p5q pro

I'm afraid this is another "please can you tell me what settings to use"... I've had it very stable at 2.6ghz at about 1.27 volts, and tried to get it up to 3 tonight, but ended up with such a bad overclock it wouldnt turn on.. I reset the cmos and now it works, so could you possibly tell me some settings to change.. i'm looking to clock it to about 3ghz, or 2.8 whatever will be most stable, however i dont really want to go above 1.36 volts, if i dont have to..

your help would be much appreciated

got to 1.35v, put your nbridge fsb link to 333 if still ot stable try 400 and try overvolting your nbridge a little bit

thanks for the advice.. im at 2.76 ghz .. with cpuz reading cpu voltage at 1.28 .. ram at 670mhz, at 1.85 volts and everything else stock.. prime 95 stable for 10 mins, no errors

I ramped the voltage up to 1.31 because even though it was stable in prime 95 it blue screened in gta4 occasionly... my one question though, is that cpuz reads it as a constant 1.28 volts ... ?..

I've got it up to 2.9ghz, prime testing now i've got the fsb link at 266 , processor i have set at 1.35 , however cpuz reads it at 1.33 .. and ram is at 720mhz ... no matter how much i tried i could not get it to work on fsb 333, and it was always a really bad overclock since i had to go and move the jumpers (something that is advertised you dont need to do on the p5q pro) .. can anybody tell me what i may be doing wrong?..

cpuz shows lower voltage because of vdrop its totally normal
either unlink the ram or change its ratio because it seems to be overclocked a little bit and thats what could cause instabillity
plus did you try overvolting the northbridge

when you say unlink the ram, what do you mean?.. (sorry im a bit nooby on overclocking)

yeh i overvolted the northbridge, but i didnt really know how far to go... aka the volts i was putting in probably didnt make a difference

anyways those settings blue screened, and so i've raised the voltage, cpuz now reads it at 1.35volts

whats strange is that when i choose 333mhz it allows me to choose a lower ram speed than with 266, yet it is far more unstable...
