Overclocking an e6600

I have never overclocked succesfully before but wondering how much of an improvement it will be to oc my e6600 to around 3Ghz?

I have an e6600 with AC7 and current temps are ~33 idle and 38-42 load.

Can anyone point my in the right direction with how to start overclocking this?

Are there any guides aimed at e6600s specifically?

Or even better can someone give me a quick quide?

Is ir right that u can overclock a e6600 with stock voltage to 3Ghz+ ?

I got 3.6 on stock voltage, can't say it was stable though. Although I think it was my ram holding me back, 400x9 and the ram at 2.5 multi, 1000Mhz was just too much for my Geil 6400

This link here will give an indication of performance increase in games. Compare to the X6800 which runs at 2.93Ghz
