Overclocking ATI Graphics Card

Hi there,

I am about to overclock my ATI Graphics card and I wondered what setting should I use on ATI Tool?

I remember that last time I overclocked a graphics card it didn't really go very well I ended reverting back to stock.

Whenever I click find max clock, it goes on for ages and keeps going up, but when I set the settings and run the tester it has problems?

Whats up with this?

turn your screen saver off , and power save so you can keep an eye on it ,find both maximums and then back it off a little bit and save profile
try the new settings on a few games

Also does anyone know the default clocks for an X850 XT PE?

My card is hitting 80*C is this normal. I have an X800 XT and it is clocked at 540/530 at the moment. It has a Zalman fan fitted aswell (although it could be poorly fitted)
