On the wagon, sorta
ok i know these chips are a bit outdated now but i came across it cheap and by all accounts if you succeed with a decent overclock are a brilliant bang for bucks cpu.
ive overclocked cpu's before but only athlon chips and all have been on air ive been toying with the idea of going the water way for a couple of years now but never really built up the bottle to do it.
question is how often do things like "leaks" and "mishaps" happen when running a h20 kit and what can be done to make these as painless as possible ie not take every part of your machine down with the slightest little leak.
secondly im buying a motherboared in a couple of days and im pretty stuck for choice as im having to stick to MATX because i cant afford to replace the case i have and all the other parts im buying so i have my eye on this boared a Gigabyte GA G33M-S2 iG33
i know it isnt the greatest boared but in my price range at the moment its about the best spec i can find in this form factor. how would this perform overclocking?

You don't watercooling for this chip, as the 'low' 1MB cache doesn't get it too warm. You can get it to 3GHz on air quiet easily, with the right motherboard.

Agreed - invest in a better mobo and air cooler instead of watercooling. That will get you to 3ghz easy (possibly 3.2 if you're lucky). :)

Mine does 3ghz with a very slight voltage hike under a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme.

TBH I don't see the point watercooling such a low-end CPU and mobo. You would probably have a faster rig with an E6420 or E4300 on a decent mobo, clocked on air.
