Overclocking enigma

Just oc'd my 5960x from stock to 4.5ghz at 1.3 volts, not one single gain in frame performance. Am I missing something here?

Confirm using CPU-Z.

Yes cpu z confirms 4.5ghz core speed.
Whilst gaming and running unigin valley benchmark there is no improvement in performance at all.

Not really.
Use msi ab for most stats in gaming.
Will run crysis 3 again and monitor it.

At the end of the benchmark by the cpu model was (2999 MHz ) if that was what you were referring to.

CPUZ shows 4.5ghz core speed though.

Did you get this sorted? If not could be thermal throttling.

Try running Firestrike and comparing your Physics scores to your sytem at stock.
