Not so sure about dual gpu cards, but i used Evga precision for overclocking. Heaven Bench to test...

My 680 has issues with Msi afterburner and jus refused to be detected despite being on a "fixed" build, never looked back at it

I don't think the cards are stuck at 705 cause your score is bang on, heres mine with a small OC, http://www.3dmark.com/fs/822753

I do sometimes see that MSI Afterburner reports incorrectly until I shut it down and reopen it, then it correctly reports 915mhz +boost, you should be able to move the slider up to max for power limit (135%) and at least get +50 core +250 memory.

My GTX690 is no more than an average clocker i feel. I get +91 Core / +400 Memory

I use MSI Afterburner with the power limit max. You may also want to change the fan speed as well.

yeah agreed, a custom fan profile is a must, otherwise I sometimes see the cores hit 81c which is a little toasty for my liking

81 is pretty standard. Heavy gaming i see just over that. These are hot cards and they can handle the heat.

Thanks for the input was just confused why it was reporting 705mhz core while saying 915 in the control panel while being overclocked to around 1150 core, I don't think I can increase the power target at all I'm already cutting it very close with a 650w psu
