Hi all, I've just upgraded my pc in a huge way.... ill tell you my specs then ill tell you my problem:-

Motherboard: Gigabyte Ultra Durable 2 GA-MA-790XT-UD4P
CPU: Phenom II x6 1090t Black edition (Water Cooled)
GPU: Crossfire 6870 Black Edition
RAM: 2x4GB DDR3 EVO CORSA DUAL CHANNEL (PC3-14900 1866MHz C9 & C10 EVO CORSA DUAL CHANNEL)
PSU: Corsair 850W Modular

My problem is.... I want to over clock my CPU to around 4GHZ, 3.8 GHZ minimum with awsome performance... When ever i go over 3.8 MY PC crashes when windows loads. OR when i change settings like HT Link Frequency or CPU/NB Frequency My pc doesnt even load and im forced to reset CMOS. So the only setting im changing is the multiplier at the moment. C1E Disabled and CnQ Disabled.

Any one know what settings i should be using??? OR a good way to find the perfect settings for me?

Thanks in advance would very much appreciate any ones help :)

I've never OC'd an AMD rig before. But you haven't mentioned upping the voltages in your post. If it's the same as Intel OCing then you need to up the Vcore. And also the volts for the RAM and motherboard (I forget what these are called). Hope this helps!

Ok Quick update.... Im on 3.8ghz Stable.

CPU: 3.8GHZ 1.4750 Vcore (thats what it says at bottom) Thats auto.
NB: 2.4GHZ 1.40V
HT: 2.0Ghz Auto Volt
Ram: 1600Mhz 1.650V

When i up my NB to 2.6ghz... My computer doesnt start
When i up my CPU to 4ghz It blue screens on Windows

Any ideas?
