Hi I am new to overclocking and want to now how I do it and what to do to achieve a stable overclock on cpu and gpu and ram.
Specs are:
I5 3570k with noctua nh-d14
gigabyte z77x-up4th
16gb Samsung green ram
his hd 7950 iceq boost
Thanks in advance

I would use f9 bios if you aren't already

heres a guide for 4.5ghz/4.6ghz and 4.8ghz with that board and memory

you might need to set 1.10v cpu/vtt for 16gb of Samsung memory though

http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyt...-th-z77x-up5-th-overclock-settings-guide.html

keep temps below 80c if you can,80-85c is ok if your happy with that

and keep cpu vcore voltage below 1.4v when stressed

use cpu-z to monitor cpu load voltages and realtemp to monitor core temps

try 2d bios? if it wont let you adjust or save anything then reflash the same bios and start over again

ahh,try switching back to 3dmode and adjust it

if it wont adjust switch to 2dmode

sorry not sure what you ment I just use 2dmode and everything is adjustable for me
