Overclocking laptop screen?

My HP Omen is 144Hz, just out of curiosity I'd like to see if I can push it.

Would this be safe, can overclocking them permanently damage them?

Wondering if the screens used are the same as the 2019 240Hz but downclocked perhaps.

I'm not sure how safe the practice is, I got an old 75Hz display up to 120Hz quite happily.
