Hello all, I have 16gb of Corsair Vengeance rated at 1600mhz
Is this the max the ram can run at? or is it possible to overclock it and run it higher like 1800 etc ? is it worth it? is there much to be gained?

I have just purchased the sabertooth z77 motherboard and ivybridge 3770K processor and overclocked to 4.5ghz

When looking at my windows index score it shows my ram at 7.8 and my processor score at 7.8

I can understand its not much to go by and maybe inaccurate but my i7 920 intel and the same ram used to show as both 7.9

Thanks for any help
Cheers

Hi there and thanks for the reply, one other issue I noticed was that in the image below you can see my 4.5ghz overclock does not show up:confused:
Normally in the place of the last ghz value I would see the overclock value and as you see it shows 3.5ghz
Is this normal as I have never noticed that before:confused:
Cheers

Why do people care about the Windows Performance Index? It's useless.
I can understand what your saying but I just found it strange how my old i7 920 and the same ram was showing as 7.9  unless they increased the scoring recently?
Anyway no biggy :)
Thanks all
mrix
