Overclocking my e6400, need a bit of help[

Just decided to give it a go, upped the fsb to 275, then 280 and its fine, running stress test now, temps seem okish (i put my thermal paste on dodgy lol) but i tried upping it to 290 and it wouldnt start windows for some reason, and thats only about 2.3ghz!, im running it at 2.24ghz now and its fine, but i want to get higher, my memory is geil 6400 (4gb) and im running a p35-ds3p, my memory is at 44412 and running at 2.1v, do i need to change the multiplyer or something? (its at 8).

hmm.. well cpu-z says that its running at 420mhz with FSB

RAM at 2:3, so you reckon i should loosen the timmings?

i dont want to increase any volts yet, its running a bit to hot for my liking atm, i want to get to 2.8ghz.

but thanks, what settings would you put for 2.8?

ok thanks ill give this all ago later, ive put it back at stock for now, because after a 10 minute prime95 test i got an error!, probably because i havnt really adjusted any settings except cpu fsb. (this was only at 2.24ghz)

currently at about 30c at idle, 41-45 on load.

Got it at 2.4ghz now, running two instances of prime95 atm

ok running with the memory at 2.1v and i had to put the timings back to 5-5-5-15, but its at 2.4ghz now and seems stable, did the cpu test on prime95, also blend to test memory and all seems ok atm.

Where should i go from here?

edit: holy ****, my ram usage is at 3.83gb!

where do i put it at 1:1? As i would prefer to have it running at 44412, is 2.1v enough for 4 sticks of it?

its running at about 29c on idle, which isnt bad, doesnt go over 45 at load.

ok even with my timmings at 55515, it wont even get past the bios screen at 325fsb (2.6ghz), im 99% i just need to adjust the memory properly and it should be fine.

i dont have memtest, but it ran fine at stock speeds, dont you need to burn memtest to a disc or something?

i still havnt put my memory to 1:1, where abouts do i set it to that?

current at 3ghz, seems very stable, running prime95 atm, on stock volts, with my memory at 44412, very happy with this overclock

If i wanted to go for 3.2, would i just need to up the fsb to 400? Or will i need more volts?

seems to be running very stable at 3.2ghz at stock volts, if a little bit hot.

Current at about 46c at full load, but thats with my artic cooler at 2500rpg (disabled autofa n in bios, if i disable it, it will probably run at 55-60c, is that ok?

Also a quick question, what fan is ment to go in PWR 1? I dont have anything in there.
