Overclocking my e6400, need a bit of help[

i dont have memtest, but it ran fine at stock speeds, dont you need to burn memtest to a disc or something?

How to test memory:

I normaly use a spare Kubuntu live CD to boot memtest86+, but the website (http://www.memtest.org/) has some other options, MemTest for windows (http://hcidesign.com/memtest/) is less rigorous, but a good indicator if you want to play in windows as well rather than staring at a DOS-esque screen for 40min+

anyone?

Just want to know if you think i should go for it? 3.2? you reckon i need more volts?

Im currently running at 1.295ish (according to cpu-z) which i assume is stock?

It's hard to say, try for 3.2 and see if it becomes unstable, if it does notch up the voltage a touch and keep going, just keep a good eye on the temps and it should be fine.

Or you could whack up the voltage to say 1.350v with the chip at 3.2Ghz (remember your temps tho!) and then if it's stable you know it can do it and can go back to 1.295v and slowly work up until it's stable again. :)

Not sure if that's a good way to do it, someone else will tell you if I'm saying dangerous things :)

Are you using an aftermarket cooler or the standard one?

seems to be running very stable at 3.2ghz at stock volts, if a little bit hot.

Current at about 46c at full load, but thats with my artic cooler at 2500rpg (disabled autofa n in bios, if i disable it, it will probably run at 55-60c, is that ok?

Also a quick question, what fan is ment to go in PWR 1? I dont have anything in there.
