Hi everyone,
I recently finished my first build thanks in no small part to the advice that i recieved on these forums, thank you for all your help.
these are my specs:
Phenom ii x4 965 be
Asus m4a88td-v evo mobo
MSI HD5850 twin frozr ii
samsung spinpoint f3 1tb
4gb corsair xms3 ram
antec truepower new modular 650w psu
cooler master elite 430 windowed case
windows 7 ultimate(picked up for £53 new from somewhere else)
i am very happy with the set-up and feel that the system is running very well, but i have a question about overclocking/cooling.
At the moment i am finding that i can do everythin that i need, for example, last night i was playing crysis on my monitor whilst watching a dvd on my second monitor, so i was wondering if i really needed to overclock? after playing Crysis completely maxed out for 4 hours earlier, my cpu temp was 40degrees and my gpu temp was 35degrees. i'm no expert but that's not bad is it?
should i risk unstabilizing my system for a slight increase in performance?
also, with my gpu temp fairly low, and with overclocking so easy with MSI afterburner, will the difference in performance be noticable/worth it?
thank you.
