overclocking newbie

just a quick question...is using a overclocking tool such as the one i got with my mobo any good, its just that my first overclock using the bios and an overclocking guide lead to a system crash

psu lol...sorry i meant cpu, i tried 375 and the devider at 1.1 ratio then it crashed

Have you set the correct memory voltage?

Also up your northbridge (MCH) volts by 0.1v to boost it for the four sticks of memory.

no cob i havent changed the mem voltage just set the mem to 1.1 and freq to 375, thats prob where i went wrong,ill have another go
