Hi guys,

I have currently got my E6750 (2.6Ghz)(333x8) @ 3.0Ghz with stock voltages and stock intel cooler (375x8) running at around 35degrees.

How far can these babies go on stock air cooling? Plus which voltages will i need step up in order to cope?

Cheers

Damon

Firstly I would read this!

Make sure that you overclock is stable by running Prime95, 8 hours isnt essential and 95% of the time if its going to fail will fail within 30 mins... check you load temperatures using coretemp... I like to keep mine under 70c on Prime95 loading others will say higher or lower is a matter of choice really!

Both Prime95 and Coretemp can be found here.

Hi thanks for that.

I have just checked coretemp and these are the results:

tJunction: 85 degrees
core 0: 15 degrees
core 1: 16 degrees

What is tjunction btw?

It looks as though its coping quite well at the moment, can you confirm this fr me?

I have installed prime95 so will give this a go in due course.

TJunction is the temp that your CPU will throttle/shut down at.

But the E6750 has a 100c tjunction, so download the latest version of CoreTemp (v0.95.4).

Hopefully that will sort out your abnormally low temps.

That's pretty good.

Run Prime95 for a couple of mins to see what the load temps are.
