Hi
I have acquired a nVidia GT-220 which I think is better than the HD2500 I was using on my Ivy-Bridge i5 - benchmarks say so anyway - as you will know this budget CPU has a noisy fan (that always runs at 100%) and doesn't have the CPU speedstep equivalent for the GPU so always runs full speed...
I have removed the small noisy fan and fixed on a bigger fan, plugged that into the SysFan1 port on the motherboard and using SpeedFan with a PWM Curve to control the speed of the fan per GPU heat...brill...100% silent now when idle.. but i would like to underclock it to save on heat/energy when using web etc but overclock it when using a game or GPU intensive app
is there an overclocking application available that can assign overclocking profiles when certain programs are running?
Im currently using MSI Afterburner which has profiles that can be selected and a 2D and 3D mode but wondered if there was anything else?
I tried a few things off the tools page but didnt work as its outdated and needs updating..
thanks
