new to the overclocking scene, so be gentle :)

I understand how general oc works just increase the FSB etc etc and then check its stable.

How ever as i increase the fsb my ram starts to clock higher...

A friend suggested setting the ram down a bit so it levels out at 800 mhz (corsair xms2 pc6400).

this seems a bit wierd, is it okay to have my ram clock faster than 800 mhz?

Got a e6300 and ds3

thanks if any of you can help

Benny

edit: updated bios to f6 :)

Ram is always set on a ratio with the cpu, as default, it's 1:1 (fsb or cpu = speed of ram etc etc)

Ram does indeed clock, just keep benching it to see if its stable and... good luck!
