overclocking ram

my friends bring me his pc 2 overclock 2 moz hoping to get 4ghz from a e8400 "easy u say" now he has the corsair xms2 pc2-6400 4-4-4-12 stuff

my question is will this overclock from 800 mhz to 890mhz?

if so how shall i go about this?

I've got the PC2-6400C5 version of this RAM and it won't budge a single bit! Might just be my sticks though. Hopefully your friends will be different
 
It's what i'd do kris.

Try 5-5-5-15 as per the normal PC8000 stuff and see how far you get.

I'd be surprised if you couldn't get a little over stock.

As it's C4 i'll assume it's the 2gb kit so will accept a maximum of 2.2v.

Those timings will be fine although i'd have thought you'd get the 5-5-5-15 timings at 2.2v.

TBH i've never found DDR2 to need much tighter timings - with them it's clockspeed. Only DDR1 in my experience benefitted from tight timings.
