im not sure where to put this but here seems good enough. ive just built my new pc, but it has ddr3 ram running at 1333so its classed as overclocking ram. the mobo dose suport it but i cant get it higher than 800mhz in the bios. any ideas? thanks

you need to raise your ram divider

although i am unsure why you want ot overclock your ram but are not willing to do the same to your chip

i dont want to overclock the ram, but it runs at 1333mhz. i think i need to 'overclock' it to get it to run at that speed. it is this

as you can see the mobo dose suport it, however when i go into the bios i can only set it to a max of 800. one thing i did wonder is if that is for individuarl channels? so ddr3 at 800 might be at 2400 so maybe i want it at a suported speed like 444mhz because that X 3 is 1333? just a thought. thanks

well i put the setting back to auto in the bios because i didnt knwo what else to do and then tried cpuz. aparently i have 4096 mb installed (correct) at 2006.7 mhz mb frequency, this is either wa too high or way too low, i think, any ideas? the timings are also wayyy off, 8, 8, 8, 20, 27 instead of 9, 9, 9, 24. this makes no sense as there is an extra timing a well. and the fsb to dram timings are 3:8. sorry about this but im verry confused.

well ive had a read around and i think its sorted, its running at the right tiings and shows half the speed in cpu z wich i think is right as its dual channel (but it might be suposed to be a third as it is ddr3 so please say which it is). only thing i the fbs:dram ratio is now at 3:10. is that a problem? thanks
