Overclocking Titan OC Napalm?

I received my napalm the other week - have posted various issues with it to customer support. I've been busy with work so not had time to sit down and play with it and take a real look at what it can do.

I looked tonight, and saw that the processor is reported as running at 2.40GHz by Windows.

When I ordered the PC, it said it would be overclocked to ~3.2GHz:

"- Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.40GHz overclocked to 3.20GHz+!"

I checked in the BIOS, and using the Abit uGuru utility, and the PC isn't overclocked in any way. I've raised that as a seperate issue with customer support because I think they sold it to me as "overclocked".... but anyway :(

Does anyone have a guide or some thoughts on how to safely overclock this beast to get it over 3GHz? I've never overclocked before, and while the manuals that came with the PC tell you how to use the utilities, they don't tell you how to work out what are safe values.

I guess what I'm hoping for is someone from OC to post here what my settings SHOULD have been before the PC left the warehouse? :p

Double check the BIOS as I did recall somewere that they may of saved the Overclock to a profile within the BIOS.

When in the BIOS it should say what button to press to load the profiles.

yeah I checked that, but there were no user defined settings at all. The CPU fan wasn't running either. It's power cable wasn't plugged in...!

Resurrection of a long dead thread!

Is there anyone who still has a Titan that is overclocked? I'm trying to get the BIOS settings so I can reapply the overclock to my PC. They're no longer saved in the BIOS

The Processors is a Q6600 and the Mobo is an IP35 XE Pro

you will have to overclock it yourself as no two chips are the same so what works for someone else may not work for you , just follow the guides on the forums and you will be fine
