Overclocking UTILITY FOR GTX260?

RiverTuner Google it.

Also some people will recommend a tool Called ATI Tray, which is an artifact scanner, however i find playing games is a much quicker process of finding out if the clock is stable. Especially Crysis.

Once downloaded choose unlink so you can adjust all the sliders independatly, move each slider at a time by 10-15mhz, then play a game, if you don't see artifacts within 5-10 mins then its most proberly stable then increase it, when you do see artifacts (and you will) knock it down 5mhz untill you make it stable

Repeat step 1 with sliders 2 and 3 for best results : )

Happy Overclocking!

Np, just a quick FYI, you may need to increase you fan speed by about 10%... try that when you see artifacts, if it doesn't clear it, then decrease the clock by 5. : )

Don't worry about frying your card ok, as long as you don't go mental with the sliders you will be fine. Happy overclocking.

Some people like to see there temps when overclocking just so it doesn't get to hot, not really needed but some cards are a bit picky when it comes to being overclocked and generally get hot much quicker.

So if you want, download Speed Fan and as you are overclocking keep an eye on the temp. General rule of the thumb is as long as its below 85c, your fine and dandy.

On Rivatuner where it says forceware, click on the arrow and click on the first box (picture of a gfx card) then click the tick box up top that says enable manual overclock then untick the box under that, that says unlink.

My "Test" button is greyed out? How can I get this to work?

The "Test" button unfortunately is not supported on all graphics cards, this button is used as a helper for the cards that do support the "Test" function.

FORGOT TO ASK!
when i am playing games, at the moment is COD4 ... there is strange moice coming from card...????
and where to connect that tiny cable which came with? thank you

well, i have TWO for POWER which is 6pin for PSU

but one tiny, i think it is somethink like speaker ... i have not connected it! i guess i have to connect it to Motherboard,

:O tiny cable? You mean you haven't plugged ANYTHING into your 260?!!!

Think he's refering to the SPDIF cable. You only need to use that cable if you wish to run audio through your graphics card. For example if you were playing on a TV and wanted to use the TV speakers.

oh, ok ... got it...so do i need to connect it to SPDIF in mobo in case...?

so, what about strange sound... it is only when i play games, did try crysis and cod and 007 ... don't know even how to explain! something like zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... :-D
