I ordered a Freezer Pro earlier today and hoping that will be here by Thursday so I can overclock my 3800+ a bit (default: 2.4Ghz). I have questions:

1) What is the max temp you would recommend me to overclock to?

2) What program can I use to accuratly measure the temperature?

3) What software can I use to stress out my CPU and how long should the tests be done for?

System specs are in sig and thanks for any help

Do a CPU (FPU) stability test for 15mins in a S&M whilst you find the max overclock. Then once you've got it as fast as it'll go stabley then start using longer tests to find tune it. That's my method now.

Just an bit of notice for you S&M Puts the temps as high as they can go with my 3800x2 i got around 40 with running 2 prime 95's with s&m it went to 50ish

the one i overclocked im my mates PC, we got 2.7 stable after 5 minutes of messing, it will do 2.8 but wasnt stable, cause it didnt have the time to work on it, you want at least 2.7, you should get more if ya work at it
