Running some 2133 ram which works fine at 2400 when using 4 sticks however the motherboard is not happy with memory over clocking using all 8 sticks.

I realise it is a lot more stress on the board (Asus x79 pro) and it might not be possible, however any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Honestly, the difference between 2133 and 2400 is only visible in benchmarks :) I wouldn't risk damaging the board for such a small difference. 2133 is already fast enough.
If you really want to overclock, have you tried loosening the timings a bit ?

It's probably the CPU memory controller rather than the motherboard.

X79 CPU memory controllers are rated at 1600mhz (SB-E) and 1866mhz (IB-E) so you're asking for a 533-800mhz overclock depending on which you have, that's a lot to ask with 4 sticks let alone 8.

I have been able to overclock the ram i have from 800Mhz to 1066Mhz with the same DRAM Efficiency score in mem tweakIt. Noted DRAM refresh interval can be set above 8000 with this ram which is nice.
