Hi guys

I'm fairly new to Overclocking

In basic gaming terms, what is the difference on say an IB Intel Core i7-3770K at stock 3.50GHz to say it's maximum O/C of circa 4.5GHz?

What is the benefit in gaming and using graphics apps and video encoding?

Are the tangible results noticeable?

Regards

Lew

Games - It depends on the game. Some games you won't notice any difference. In CPU dependent games you'll get an increase in frame rates. Overclocking would also be beneficial if running more than one GPU.

Graphics Apps. - I assume you mean the likes of Photoshop? I don't really know.

Video encoding - Roughly speaking encoding times will be reduced in proporton to the CPU overclock.

Could you also fix your signature please.

Thank you.
