Overclocking

Hi guys I am currently on the first stage of overclocking increasing my FSB by 5. I have just uped it to 270 from 200 doing 5 increments and doing the occt test I got to 270 started my system but I get a black screen saying windows has failed to start. Is this down to the overclocking? And what should I do?? Thanks

Drop it back down or up the Vcore a little.

What are your specs?

Yeah the Black screen will be because of the OC,

What chip are you ocing?

Also check your ram speed, as you increase the FSB the ram will also increase in speed so you will need to drop the ram multiplier.

And check your Vcore on the cpu, I not sure on how good overclockers these chips are.

hi guys just a little update i have now increase my vcore and my FSB is now at 280, the current problem i have is when doing the OCCT test my system restarts a few minutes into the test. any ideas? thanks

You've over clocked it too much, try lowering the fsb
