Im looking to buy an overcoat/trench coat.
This Neo coat from blades uk looks alright.

http://www.blades-uk.com/view_items.php?cat_id=77

Ive also found some here
http://www.eshopone.com/smx/home/trench-coats/
and here

I would mind a Neo Matrix style coat, or even better a Grammaton Cleric coat. Ive seen these at http://www.abbyshot.com/ but they seem a bit expensive and im not sure what the delivery cost would be. I could get one from here if I put some money towards it. (Im getting it as a christmas present).

Does naybody know of any high street retailers or online shops that sell any decent ones?

What are you wanting from your coat? Something practical you can actually wear? or something for fancy dress parties and the like?

Something practical that I can wear to work/school, when Im out and about with friends etc.

And no not that Physco Sonny. It has to be 3/4 length / knee length.

I got a Duck and Cover Coat last winter, really warm, with detachable hood, not cheap thou. Paid almost £200 for mine.

Oh deary me, another matrix saddo. You will look a plonker wearing a matrix trenchcoat.

just what I was thinking.

Do not shroud yourself with ideas of it being practical and cool.

You will look like an idiot. One of my friends got one for christmas, he was into the whole goth thing at the time, but he came through eventually

When I was looking for my trenchcoat a few years ago I started out looking at the matrix ones and the Crow etc... however I found a lot of them to either look crap [because unlike Lawrence Fishbourne and Keanu Reeves most people don't have a film crew and millions of dollars of special effects to go with it] or are of poor quality.

Best bet is to find a "generic" trenchcoat - ie, not based on a film.

To be honest, the matrix style coat is pretty geeky... Keanu Reaves can just about pull it off in a movie, do you think you can pull it off in every day life? ;)

I'd go for maybe a double breasted 3/4 or 1/2 length military style wool coat at the moment, they're pretty cool.

Unless you're a six footer, with decent build, and style, forget it. The girls will point and laugh, and the boys will beat you up.

There is no spoon, except you, and you'll look like one! :D

Im 6 foot 2, very good build, some style. The girls laugh at me any way, and I could batter every one in my upper and lower 6th form.

I see my self more as a tool than a spoon.

They can work well but I only ever seem to see them on goths? they are all in black with boots on, they are just a trend setter, Just get a nice 3/4 coat, I got a FCUK and its bloody warm and a light tan.

If its not leather it doesn't count.

this man speaks truthfully :)

ive worn trench coats since i was 16 (8 years) much to my annoyance the matrix came out after i had started wearing them and as im fairly slim with black hair it totally ****** it all up for me :( i dont even like the bloody films.

i recently bought a trench coat made of cotton for the summer, its in a 19th century British non commissioned officer army style,

my last leather coat i bought when i was 19 at a cost of £265 im 24 now and its still in good condition, a little warn around the edges but it gets daily use.

this is my leather trench coat, afraid the only picture ive got is of me wearing it :(

i hope it gives you some ideas.

I like that coat Raymond Lin a bit like the one im using at the moment (its my dads really) mine doesnt have a hood though.

Im going into town (Chester, Wrexham) at the weekend to look around there. If I dont find one I will probabilly get the one from eshopone. But im going to look in the Army surplus stores there and see what they have. I iwll probabilly get myself a nice cold weather Parka for the winter, it gets bloody cold where I live.
