Overcooked

My three kids play this with their friends, and after five minutes it's mayhem! Now put four adults after a glass of something and it's worse than the kids.

Can't recommend this enough with some friends through the Steam Link and four controllers.

Do you have any issues with this through the Steam Link?

I can play everything else that I have tried through the Steam Link perfectly fine (wired, not wireless) , but for some reason Overcooked gets spots where it just freezes up and the game continues on in the background, after about 5 seconds it unfreezes but 5 secs can be all the difference in this game between success and failure.

No, I don't have that problem. No freezes. The only thing I have problems with the the slight latency on Rocket League, but I've found everything else is okay.

I'm liking the sound of this game sounds like your having a blast. Are you playing this with Xbox controllers connected to pc.
I wouldn't mind getting this for when friends come round.

How easy is it for non gamers to pick up? Are the controls complex or could you explain it in under a minute?

Controls are mega easy.

A to pick up and put down. And b to chop.
Thanks, so in theory I could convince my other half to play this. We're going away for a week with my bro and his other half, so thought this might make for some fun after dinner entertainment

Me and my GF play it. It's definitely stress inducing mind. Fun though!will be great with 4 people.

Completed this with the misses its a very entertaining game indeed.

You HAVE to work together though, communication is key. Once things click (in terms of pattern per level) it feels very rewarding.

We are finding the later levels pretty hard. Did you complete the levels just using two characters? or did any of you control 2 characters at the same time?

Sometimes we find only having two characters running around is a lot of hard work.

We used 2 characters for the whole game. I cant remember if we managed to 3 star everything - I will check tonight and let you know.

But yes, its challenging.

This game looks great fun for me and the girlfriend. Can I check what I'd need to buy at present. Currently I have a PC, one Xbox One wireless controller and one Xbox 360 wireless controller. I guess I'd need the steam link + steam controller, along with a USB adapter to allow me to use the steam controller and the Xbox One controller for 2 players? Can this be played on the keyboard or does that extend difficulty immensely?

I guess the cheapest way would be to play it on my pc screen with an Xbox one controller via the adapter and a keyboard - is this right?

Thanks

Cheapest way to play from what you have is on your PC using the controller you have.

You can buy the Steam Link and controller (although I don't use the controller much, I just use a wireless 360 controller instead). You don't need a USB adaptor to use the Steam Link with the Steam controller - they just work together. I don't know if you can use an XB1 controller with a Steam Link, have a Google. If not you'll need a second controller alongside your 360 controller.

I played overcooked for the first time with my wife last night. The results were hilarious with us only just scraping through missions with 1 star and often failing completely.

It's a very entertaining game.
