Overkill build

Cheers for the replies guys.

I will keeps the
Case
Motherboard (like the gigabyte and my last one served me well.)
I will drop the windows 10 key
Memory will be dropped back to 3200.
Cable extension will be added instead of the full kit.
As for
Ssd's I would like
1: for windows and a few programs
1: for games
1: for mass storage.

If I populate the m.2 drives does it affect pcie lanes?

I will sell the cooler that come with that gigabyte board.
Should I up to the 280mm be quiet cooler or stick with the 240mm

Will change to 140mm silent wings 3 fans.

If you go with a single SSD you can partition it. Adding an M.2 NVMe SSD in all the slots will affect certain things i.e Disable some SATA ports etc. It will say in the manual what will get affected.

I would go with a 280mm AIO if you are going with the retail boxed cpu. These do run very hot so you want the max cooling. The pre-binned one in my list will run cooler as it has been delidded. It is more expensive and has a lesser warranty though.

Just remember that cable extensions means more cable to hide when doing cable management. With a full replacement set you have a spare set of full cables (The ones that come with the psu) should you ever misplace one (If you are like me then that is a certainty) :D

I plan on nodding the case.
Cnc the top panel.
Maybe put a car window tint film in the side panel so cable management will be easier.
I will take my time with this build bit of a perfectionist.
So cable management will be on point.
Think I will stay with a retail chip.
Warranty over temps.

Pre binned for the win! Use the free AIO as either a tester or to sell ! It's free so make money on it. Again it's worth the AIO .
Asetek finally stepping up their game and companies that use them requesting descent cooper rads and parts. Most likely pressure from cook master and the fact Alphacool actually uses proper waterparts in their own and produced bequiet silent wings which are dead silent at 100% usage , but you pay the price for it !

Have you thought about EK new aluminium range ? Not to be confused with early asstek stuff, but based on their copper kit, just aluminium. With good fluid and cheaper price . Do a 360 mm rad version . Could be fun

Isn't be quite silent loop also a copper core radiator.

Think I will stick with a retail cpu.

Checked out the EK stuff.
Maybe for the next build .

Think for ease I will go with the be quiet.

Sell the included aio.

I would work on those drives. I tend to like keeping the system disc completely separate to everything else, then having a drive for each major function. For me, I just don't need anything more than a 128GB SSD system drive. Then I have a 500GB SSD used as games storage. Then I have a traditional mechanical HDD for "work data". Just general stuff that may be large but I don't really need fast access to. It just seems to me that you are spending a lot on drives that could be best distributed better and save you some money too.

Depends if the op wants to go down that route. Even though those sites sell it a lot cheaper there is still a risk that it might get deactivated by Microsoft if it turns out to be a stolen key etc. If he wanted to save the £100 then I would just use it without activating it.

I have never heard of that happening.

Pairing it with a
Gtx 1080 zotac amp extreme
Monitor is an
AOC 1440p.
Think I will stick with retail chip. Better warranty and I can always delid it myself down the road

How does the psu rate?

Used it before, solid unit and their OEM to a few like EVGA, the light up plug ins are cool but getting custom cables are expensive and hard to make your own .

The zotac is large, I've used in for a friend , make sure you pick up support bracket and 11gbps version. With 1070ti on the heels on standard 1080, worth it if you can indeed the 11gbps ones. Think some Aorus 11gbps are going for £530 . Pushed mine aorus and my friends zotc to 11.9gbps and 11.65gbps which is impressive
