Overlclocking gpu voids warranty?

Thinking of getting either 5970 or 5850 crossfire along with crosshair iv and 1090t oc @ 4Ghz.

The question is if I get x2 asus 5850 direct cu and overclock them to 5870 speeds will I void the warranty?

Yes - as you are knowingly pushing the GPU beyond the designed (and tested and warrantied) limits. The question is, can the card supplier know that you've overclocked the card?

well, why do they promote overclocking by introducing voltage tweaking etc

if they advertise a Overclocking tool then NO.

If they dont then i suppose yes.

But if it died tey will never know
