Overturning Santander decision on non-refund after scam,

What a weird reaction, I was asking if the police would even get involved as the person involved handed over the money and wasn't stolen in the traditional sense.

It’s fraud.

The police in the UK can’t do anything about Fraud so they have given the contract to a private call centre called Action Fraud where victims can call a telephone line, tell someone in a call centre, who collated the data and puts out statistics. The money is long gone in most instances and untraceable once it leaves the UK.

The police very very rarely investigate non local fraud.

Just heard on the radio that there are solicitors specializes in this kind of thing so probably best giving one ago if you can't get anywhere.
