Overwatch

Agreed with a couple of the comments above, the new Uprising mode is really good, lots of fun. Gave me a little reminder of Left 4 Dead with the ability to revive fallen teammates. Played a few games last night, crazy fun and provides plenty of XP too.

Battle.net: BrotherDave#2792 I'm not pro but I do alright and play for fun if anyone wants to team up.

Enjoying the new game mode / event - I'm curious to know whether it will be planned to return every year or if they intend to actually make some sort of permanent way to play it, as it seems a shame to lose it after the event is over...

As for the skins - they're cool expect for Tracer's stupid looking Thunderbirds hat... Though the ex-TF2 player in me always recoils slightly when more cosmetic stuff comes out and it feels like the majority of discussion of the update seems to revolve around that rather than the gameplay changes... I hope Blizzard manage to do a better job than Valve of stopping the game eventually getting ruined by it all - at least we're not at that point yet (e.g. add a ludicrous amount of skins, implement trading, suddenly half the match-chat is people saying "OMGURR dat genji skin plz trade me fur 2 purple Mcree skins")

Happy to see the Lucio and Eichenwalde changes making it through the PTR though - and maybe Orisa will survive a bit better now too

Huh, I was playing last night, didn't notice anything different?

You haven't seen the new barrier lines round lucio? I think they look great and really helpful. Also I like the new text for speech.

The percentage rating when attacking is also cool and if I understand it correctly should mean less draw games.

Like me. I've saved for the event. I want to spend them now, but makes sense to wait to the end as I might get things I want in Loot Boxes anyway...

Guys is it to late to get into this - I'm a bit worried there's too much to learn for someone who hasn't got a tonne of hours to sink into it. Will watching a few guides on YouTube get me up to speed enough to enjoy it and no hack off my team mates??

you generally will be put with new/newer players also, so go for it :)

Just play it and have fun. The game assigns you a MMR which is effectively your skill level. It will try and place you with players of equivalent skill. So if you learn it slowly it won't even matter.

I'm still a scrub to be honest, level 60 something, rarely play comp and play for fun. If you want a team mate to join you and explain the game from a scrubs point of view (so you're not bombarded with information). Let me know, we've got discord as well.

I don't play much, but I absolutely love the game as it's a great way to waste 20 mins having a blast.

I'm in the same boat, mid 50's now. I mainly play 6 v 6 random. I feel that it's not only very fun to play, but you also learn how to play the different characters and their roles, making it easier to counter/avoid their attacks when you run into them. Heroes I would normally never play, I am actually enjoying (Some healers/tanks). Zenyatta is the perfect example. Good healing, can debuff the enemy and can hit quite hard.

Also, I only just realised last night by holding space bar as Mercy, it makes you fall a lot slower... :o

Nice one, I might do that, it's pretty cheap on the rainforest right now so might order for next week

I find the matches much more exciting without all the draw games and them situations where you have to told the base with only a few percentage scored are something new instead of holding the same choke every game.

Plus ranking up is a lot quicker now without the draws :)
