Overweight

If I had never went to germany with school I would never of had kebabs, Dam them and their oh so yummyness.

plus I am only 5 foot 7ish which sucks and I could do with losing a bit of wieght its all on my tummy luckily I just don't want to do it at a gym, cant go swimming because my ears bleed and I have dodgy knee problems any suggestions apart from getting myself put down at the local vets office :D

.. What the hell is that meant to mean?

It is. Two, to be precise. I didn't get on with my first one.. So its kind of an amalgamation of the two different trainers programs.

Throw your wild assumptions and ignorant guesses elsewhere.

I think hes getting at the fact that a lot of personal trainers programs can be complete tosh, but at the end of the day if you enjoy doing it and you seeing results then thats all that matters :)

Can anyone recommend some equipment for home. I don't really have enough time to go out to the gym with a full time job, 2 year old and another baby on the way, so would like to exercise at home.

Im 5'5 and 13 stone 2. Used to be pretty muscular as a teenager but got married, quit smoking, and sit at my desk all day. Im 22 btw

A[L]C I'd look at some basic freeweights and a pair of running shoes.
Or said freeweights and a treadmill.

That should be the bare minimum to get started.

Do not buy cross trainers (elliptical) ones as they are highly detrimental to your achilles tendon. I buggered both of mine and that was stated as a partial cause, so its personal, yes, but also just want to warn ya :D

Good luck with the training mate and just don't do silly dieting or starve yourself: that way you'll never lose it!

I've cut down on eating a lot of crud which helps A LOT! I find drinking lots of water helps too, not so much with weight loss per se but keeps my skin nice and clear which is a bonus.
We recently bought a home multigym so i've been using that and I play badminton once a week. I find this to be a good form of cardio exercise which isnt as boring as running on a treadmill, or rowing or cycling on machines, I get just as much exercise and movement and i'm exerting myself much more than I would on a CV machine. When we get a bit better we'll be playing twice a week and challenging my brothers mates who are quite good lol!

Evenin'

I am currently dieting, but have tonight decided to drink lots of beer and get drunk, which will probably involve also eating food later. Shame really.

Anywho, I'm 5'8 and weight 95kg, which is quite heavy but I am not noticeably large (in the sense of "oh he's a right fatty", just average man-fat I guess.) I would prefer to be of an average build, but I really don't see being large as such a big problem, and so lack the motivation to stay dieting.

Is it acceptable/normal to 'accept' being large as a consequence of great enjoyment of food/beer, or is there something wrong with me

Get a game addiction.
You''ll forget about eating soon enough, you'll become too lazy to get yourself beer/any drinks too :p.

Weight lose is visible most in a place where there's no fast food around to make up for the less food.
Been in poland last summer and I weighed 46 kg at start, and 42.5 at the end. So much weight lost in three weeks coz I missed my fries with mayo and countless burgers & frikandels etcetcetc.
I'm 5 ft 5 inches and weigh 47 kg (bout 103 pounds).

Get some good earplugs and go swimming. I don't see how your ears could bleed if you do this and don't swim much below the surface. Swimming is really good exercise.

rubbish.
having a 2 year old and another on the way and working full time does not mean you have no time whatsoever.
if you have time to workout at home (properly) then you have time to get outside and go for a ride or a jog or get to the gym and do some weights.

good work fella :D hope it goes well for you :]

Damn, I dont look it i can fit in to 24 inch waist jeans with no problems :s
Pics or it didn't happen. I'm 2 inches taller than you and 2 stone less and I have a 32 inch waist.

If you have to ask if you're fat then makes no sense, it's all about your own personal views, if you're constantly thinking 'oh god i'm so fat' then do something about it. I changed myself by only drinking water, going to the gym a few days a week and eating better, seriously your diet is what can change things the most. Even if you go to the gym loads but eat the same old chocolate etc then there's not much point/difference.

Go for it though, it's awesome feeling great about yourself. :)
