Owned by a Type-R last night

I had a seicento actually managed to stay reasonably close to me up to about 40-50mph which was a bit of a surprise :o I'm sure it must have been somewhat fettled with - impressive I must say though.

I love wooshing past cars of which the drivers think that mine is slow :D

there are a few i know of running around 120bhp.. which is enough to suprise people when the car only weighs 700kg!

That's around 170bhp/tonne - no wonder! Mine's around 215 so it's not a millions miles away - still impressive though. No wonder he grinned at me by the lights - I grinned back but it was a nervous grin :D :p
 
hehe. once i finally finish it, i might bring my 'silly car' along to a RR day just to see :)

where abouts were you, and what colour was the car. might be able to work out who it was and tell the spec of the car if you wanna know.

gex, are you the chap doing a cinq sporting with a 1.2 punto engine with turbo?
 
i have a 1.2 cinq sporting converted to MPI running megasquirt, and shall be turbo'ing it. But i think you are thinking of caneyJ - he has my old turbo and custom manifold and has just got it all fitted to his car.

Even mine, which is only 54bhp beat my dad's Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec to 40mph.... but beyond that... its just a joke.
 
CTRs are peppy, but nothing amazing. 185bhp aint anything...my last civic had about identical power and weight, and I found the power sorely lacking.

Missed the point again... I was saying how my dad's car isn't as powerful as yours... therefore how can you say "Woah there nelly - I never said it beat me, I said it nearly kept up with me!" When my dad has a less powerful car than you?

Im saying how my 1.1 Seicento Sporting can beat my dad's Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec to 40mph.

You took it as if i was saying that it can beat most things to 40mph. Or atleast thats what it looks like....
