Owners of the Samsung F86 request

I seem the have a backlight buzz when the backlight is set to below 10. I know this is common on some large LCD's but my concern is that it only seems to happen on sources other than Freeview.
So can owners of this set test if they have a buzz on HDMI when the backlight is below 10?

I get no backlight buzz no matter what the backlight is set to. Usually I have it at 2/3. All my sources are via HDMI btw. There shouldnt be a difference in noise between freeview and HDMI as they both use the backlight, so may be something else causing the buzzing. Send it back/get it repaired...

I have some hum when backlight isn't set to 10 (Samsung M8x) It's not as bad as the Sharp XD1 hum though. Only hear it on mute. My old CRT 28" made louder buzzing.

OK thanks guys, I've phoned Samsung and they are going to send some one round. Its aleady been taken away before to have a firmware upgrade so I'm reluctant to let it go again. I'm hoping it's something they can repair onsite.

Buzzing comes from the inverter, they cannot replace that onsite. Needs to be taken for repair.

F86 here and no buzzing.

not unless its only audible by putting your ear up against the set as ive never heard it, even late at night in silence on my own.

Its strange that it doesn't happen on freeview but with everything else.

You have seperate settings per input, so do you have backlight at 10 for freeview, and 9 and lower for HDMI/Component/VGA/S-Video?

No, I'm using the D65 settings from HDTV test for all inputs.
