Oyster Monthly Bus Pass Question

Not sure if this should be posted here but I have a question for anyone that uses Oyster cards.

For the last few months, I have used Auto Top Up on my Oyster card which has been very easy but I am thinking if it is the cheapest way to pay for my travel after looking at my journey history. Is it possible to get a normal monthly bus pass on your Oyster card and do Auto Top Up at the same time. I am thinking that this might save me money as I get the bus to work most days but occasionally get a train to visit my girlfriend.

Thanks. It's annoying that you cannot get a bus pass on the website. The last time I went to a newsagents to get a monthly bus pass I remember them telling me to go to an Underground station. I thought you could do it there too.

you can do that at any top up point, some of the guys don't know how to use their machines and it really pees me off if they pretend you cant...
