I have several sets of these lovely classic wheels. I think they may well be my all time favourite.

However, the OZ paint finish seems to run scared at the slightest hint of winter.

The car thats worst affected is never even driven in the wet, yet the Race Silver paint is starting to blister and bubble on the inside of the wheel spokes.

I spoke to OZ UK and they were completely useless, telling me that they have no official way or means of refurbing OZ customers wheels in the UK.

Ok, fine I thought, how about just being able to supply the correct paint, and I will get them refurbed myself... Nope, they cant even do that!!

So......Does anyone knowledgeable in these matters know if its possible to get the exact OZ Race Silver paint that they use, or do I have more chance of winning the lottery?

As it stands I have a brand new spare set of Superleggeras, but I think they are the last new Superleggera set in the world, as I had to import these from Poland, and they were the last set anyone could locate.

I would rather get the set being used refurbed than crack out the spares.

Cheers fellas.

Just go to any decent car paint company and get them to mix you some.

I had the same issue with my BBS rims - the supplier told me the finish isn't easy to replicate - they are just silver RXs so I'm not sure what he was on about. He simply wanted to sell me another set :(

I e-mailed Rimfurbish last week with regards to a quote but I've had nothing back yet. I guess I'll have to phone.

Do they HAVE to be the same finish? I had my Superleggeras refurbed in silver and they look great. Unless you only do one wheel, I can't see anyone noticing that it's a slightly different shade of silver, and a different shade is certainly better than blistered and peeling paint.

As above really, these guys are meant to be da' bomb.

A stunning design, deserves a piccy.

I think the Turismo design hasn't dated very well, mainly because every man & his Dog has a similar looking wheel on offer and dare I suggest that any car pictured with a Turismo wheel would have looked better had it had a set of Superleggeras on...

Always preferred the Super Turismo myself, was so tempted to get a white set of 15"s for my MR2, seen it on a blue one before and it looks great! Nice and light weight too :)

i disagree. but respect your views
if you like something it will look good to you no mater what anyone says abit like women really
i also have a fondness for ronal teddy bears

My SuperT's are peeling like crazy and it's apparently a common problem with other owners too. Interesting to know it's not only specific to my type, but also the leggeras...

I have a set of these I am trying to sell- Where is the best place to do so? I am a bit worried about ebay due to all the ripoffs.

I have had and liked both wheels.

The difference being, one is covered in winter cack and the other is freshly washed with 100k less on the clock!

The green one had a peach of an engine/gearbox setup though.

I thunk i'm going to have to stick with my quote above as the Leggys look much better than the Turismo!

What does everybody think of the Ultraleggeras?

Not high on the priority list but the Graphite ones are very tempting:

I think you could paint them pink & they would still look awesome!

Well, almost... graphite looks sweet though. :)
