Now, I hate OCZ and i'm glad they went bust with the amount of failures, and i've been a firm user of Samsung 830 & 840 SSDs for the past few years in my main rigs. I did however have an OCZ Vertex II SSD in my old laptop, which died after 18 months of its 36 month warranty. I raised an RMA and they replaced it with a Solid 3 series, this has now unfortunately died after 6 months however looking at the ranges that Toshiba now support as part of their acquisition, the Solid 3 is not supported.
As i'm 24 months in to a 36 month warranty, is there any point in trying to fight it or should I just chuck it in the bin - seems a bit unfair but I guess if they're well and truly gone bust theres not a lot i can do unless the retailer can help, it was OCUK
