P35 Neo2-FR / FIR crashing

Hey you guys i have been looking at this forums for ages now, i always refer to this forum it is my knowledge base, up and till last night i was not a member of the forum, i have seen you guys help so many people i would hope you could help me with this one here’s my story.
My pc was crashing with a plflash error, reinstalled xp home edition and still crashes with no error in the event veiwer. it crashes, the music or sound stutter for 1 second or so and restarts no blue screen or anything (turn of automatic restart).

Cooling. pc never crashed when i first built the pc, so i cleaned it out spotless everything dust free. still crashes.

Power supply is brand new corsair 620 modular http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=ca-004-cs&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 . still crashes

checked memory by interchanging the chips. 2x 2gb http://www.geil.com.tw/products/show/id/119 . still crashes

temps of cpu when crashing 54 c not overclocked but has been before, but then started crashing so took overclock off. then there was 2 months of fine clear stable then the crashing started

gpu zotac 9800gt latest drivers temps when crashing 34 c, this model but not the same heat sink http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=gx-009-zt&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1009

hard drives 500gb and 80gb both 30 c when crashing.

cpu intel e8400, 1.8 bios on board

tends to crash when playing graphical heavy apps or + music (inbuilt sound card)

tested both memory sticks for 10 hours each no errors,

results for orthos (http://sp2004.fre3.com/beta/beta2.htm) i ran all the test available at priority: 10

here are the results

small ffts - stress cpu. ran for 3 seconds and crashed temps 50, 50
large, in place ffts - stress some ram. ran for 2 seconds 50,50
blend - stress cpu and ram. ran for 2 seconds 50, 50
custom >>>>> up for suggestions.
stresscpu - stress cpu with gromacs core. ran for about 2 mins then stopped then ran again and crash about 3 mins in 55, 55

I have also right now on 1 stick of ram, inbuilt sound turned of in bios, bios vertion 1.8,

Orthos crashes at all three tests within a few seconds.

That to me points to the CPU being damaged permanently, is that a possibility?

Or maybe the BIOS is corrupted, maybe look at reinstalling or updating the BIOS.
 
right guys checked out a new cpu in it and all the tests run until i nearly start crying because i have to get a new CPU intel is still under warranty, whats the chance of a new CPU any tips on getting a new cpu from intel? thanks dutch guy for the inspiring thoughts :D
