Hi, this week I am ordering a P400S case
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phan...se-noise-dampened-white-window-ca-045-pt.html

It comes with 2 fans and I plan to buy 4 more fans for 6 fans total.
I planned on two Aerocool Lightning 140mm Fans

And 2 Aerocool Shark 120mm
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aerocool-shark-evil-black-edition-led-fan-120mm-fg-010-ae.html

I also ordered two of these y-splitters
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-cable-y-splitter-3-fan-pwm-10cm-wc-9ak-ek.html

My order hasn't been sent yet, because I also have a Nitro 480 on the way but it is out of stock.

My question is, will all of this work? Will I be able to control all 6 fans through the P400S fan controller? Do i need different fans or different y-splitters? Please let me know.

Thanks

You'd need more than 2 splitters as one fan spot would be used up with splitter number 2.

Also be aware that the LEDs in those fans will dim as the fans get slower.

If the fan controller can cope with 6 fans then it should work ok. However you might find better control (ie automatic) with whatever motherboard you are plugging fans into.

Thanks. I overlooked that the LEDS will get dimmer, but that will probably be ok. My PC is usually on 24/7 so it can be dimmer at night which is cool.

Um, the Fan controller from what i can tell supports 2 fans, or up to 10x fans using splitters. I am guessing i can plug each 3 way splitter into 1 of the fan slots, for 6 fans, but let me know if im wrong.

my mobo is a giga z68p-ds3, it has two unused chassis fan headers but i'd rather be able to control them all together at once.

Didn't realise it had two spots. Sounds like it'll work OK then. Provided you don't dial down the speeds too much you'd keep some good brightness.
