P45 chipset delay

June

I was hoping to be able to upgrade to it well before then if it proves to be good with the Q9450.

I was expecting June anyway so no surprise to me remember P35chipset release?

I can wait no rush who wants X48 with ICH9 still lol - besides by the time it's released the Q9450 should be readily in stock at retailers & the price less than it is now & hopefully DDR3 will be less than it is now it's falling in price all the time.

I just dont see the point in buying X38 / X48 when in a month or two their is another chipset released that brings something new to the table - no matter how good it is, I only use a single graphics card anyway & I'm hoping P45 will be cheaper than it's big brother X48.

Intel P45 Schedule Still On Track

DigiTimes reported that Intel is delaying the launch schedule of its P45 chipset from originally in May to mid-June due to compatibility problem between the PCI Express x16 port and graphics cards. The problem should be solved and ready to launch 2-4 weeks behind the original launch schedule. One source told VR-Zone that P45 boards might not necessary delayed till mid June but should expect the boards to hit retail by late May. Another source told us that there is no delay on their part and we can expect to see P45 boards by early May. Let's see who is right.
