Has anyone had good luck overclocking the G0 quad with this board? I've used the search function but can't find any solid results.

Am I wasting my time buying a quad with this board? I would really like it to be able to hit 3.6. Is this unrealistic? I currently have a 4300 @ 3.2 Orthos stable.

I use a OCZ 700watt so power supply should be okay. Ram is 3GB of Crucial Ballistix at 8500 5-5-5-15.

I know the 965 chipset is a little long in the tooth now but I'm loathe to ditch it just now.

Cheers Gunner :)

The P5B-D was one of the better P965 boards for clocking the quads. Plenty of reports of being able to achieve a 400mhz FSB.

Ok playing safe, I don't want to hit the dreaded BUY button until I'm sure / semi sure it'll work!

So i should get 400mhz ok even with a quad?

Well there's no guarantees.

But I'd be surprised if you didn't get a Q6600 to atleast 3.5ghz in one.

I tried a few Q6600 in my p5b deluxe that were other peoples that I was building systems for and the best one I had was a L725B with a vid if 1.25 and that hit 3.8 425 x 9 but every chip I tried at least hit 3.4 with 425 x 8 with around 1.4 v core. I did find that it needed 1.55 to the north bridge to do this which is more than my E6600 needed.
Anyhow if you pm me I will gladly tell you the settings I used as its the same board.
