Mmm - I thought you didn't really need to install the Intel AHCI drivers as normally the "windows" ones are as good - mm - I was mistaken.
Before HD-Tach reported about 7% CPU utlisation for the 7200.10 on AHCI
now 0% (+/- 2%)
quite an improvement - benches were up slightly too.
Interestingly though - if I go to the drive in Device Manager - it states that Write Caching is disabled ? Thats not right surely ?
