Hi,

just a couple of questions regarding my p5b motherboard and antec 900 case.

the case has two sets of audio cables to plug into the mainboard. 1 labeled 'audio' is a block pin connector and the other set are individual pin connectors all labeled individually such as mic, gnd etc etc.

the p5b audio pins are in the bottom left region of the mainboard. which ones do i use. the p5b manual shows the motherboard doesnt have a place for all the individual audio connectors but does for the block one.

can anyone help? im also unsure to the whole HD audio feature on the motherboard and whether there are different connections on the board for HD audio and normal audio?

thanks for your time

hd should be 3 pin i think... the other ones id just try the block if that doesnt work try the individual ones... sometimes there is 2 wires from one place you dont need to use them if the board hasnt got them

the manual seems to suggest that hd or normal is in the same place though?

are you maybe thinking of the optical audio connection?

no.. ive only seen one hd audio connector and that was 3 pins going into what looked like an optical one.. if its in the same place you wouldnt use the hd ones for the front port anyway

All the front panel has on the 900 is Front out and mic in. The individual pins are if your mobo doesnt support the standard layout of the block connector. You need only connect one or the other.
