P5N-E Cant install windows

Im trying to install windows onto a new build.

It does the initial bit copying the files accross, but after it restarts i get an error starting operationg system error

Any ideas?

Spec :

P5N-E SLI
E4300
Corsair TwinX RAM
2x Galaxy 7300GT DDR3
Corsair HX520 PSU
Plextor SATA DVDRW
Samsung SATA 250Gb HDD

What did the error message say?

Might be a long shot but did you set the boot order right in BIOS? It happens to me if it's trying to boot from a non-OS drive.

Do you need to hit F6 and specify the RAID drivers during the initial install stage?

Although this thread isn’t the same issue as yours I’ve had a similar problem and been told to disable the Jmicron controller. Have a look at the post and give it a try.

My PC can hang right after the motherboard info and not attempt to read the Hard Drive, its driving me crazy as after a few attempts it works, and once in Vista it works extremely well, the issue has stopped me duel booting as a freeze during install throws you back to square one…hope it helps

Solved it, i had to set the acess mode to Large

Weird as ive never had to do it with any other board using the same HDD

I had to do this also with my p5n-e sli and with my old a8n-sli
