Hey,

I ve seen this new board with the 650i chip. Looks the same with 680i but is cheaper and can do the same overclocking.

Do you think this is a winner?

Just purchased one on Thursday and awaiting its arrival.

From all the reviews I've read it seems to be as good as the 680i. I did however purchase the Thermalright HR-05 chipset cooler and fan, as many reviews recommend decent cooling for the northbridge.

It's a shame OCUK didn't stock the motherboard as I would have purchased it from here straight away!

Will post back how it overclocks soon (need to get exams out the way first before I install it)!

I have one, its a very good budget board. Its not quite the same as 680i but your average user should be fine with it imo.
At stock clocks, on quiet air cooling my max temp with orthos overnight was 48c so theres some potential there I'd say.

Also it has dual ide channels, again anyone on a budget should appreciate that so Asus have applied some thought to it :)

It has the same northbridge as 680i but a different southbridge meaning less sata and pci-e channels. Potentially that should mean it clocks similar to 680i I think
