P5N32-E D.O.A.?

Hello all, I need your help with a very strange problem.

Today I recieved my P5N32-E to replace my P5B Deluxe. Everything was fine till about 20 mins ago. I ran CoreTemp to check the CPU's temps, when suddenly the screen went dark with lots of green and red pixles. Gradually the monitor went pure white and then I noticed a horrendus smell comming from the computer.

I've checked every component for visable damage, but I can't see any. My nose tells me, the smell origionates from arround the second blue PCI-E port. This happend again as soon as I did a bios update, now, it dosen't display one of the SLI settings in the BIOS< and the performance has droped dramatically.

Can any 1 think of a cause to this? dodgy board? irregular voltage? common problem?, please help.

Not a common problem... by the sounds of it - Horribly dodgy board. RMA time

hmm your telling me... try getting 4GB RAM compatability with Windows Vista x64... Complete Nightmare....

Ok this board is actually horrible (either that, or it's a defective board). Took 6 hours, but got the bugger to run at 2.5ghz (from 1.86), and my 3Dmark06 scores droped from 5805 to 3173. That's realy no normal!
