P5W Deluxe... little fan thing.

I'm running a P5W deluxe with a Reserator 2 watercooling kit. I was wondering how important it was to put the little fan on the heatsink at the end of the copper pipe at the back of the CPU.

Depends on airflow in the case, Asus obviously think there should be some if you dont have a cpu cooler blowing air over the heatsinks.

The thermal compound under the heatsink its blowing onto is so crap I wouldn't worry about it tbh. I have completely done away with the heat pipe design - see HERE

At the moment, there is no airflow in the case. So I should probably stick that fan on then...
