You need to update the bios from the 0701 it comes with to gain the 1.85 limit. Think 0901 gives 1.85 but there are also 1101 & 1301 which are just as stable with faster post times.

nope, you only get the 1.85 with the new revision motherboard which comes with 1001 bios.

No I don't think so, there is a revision on the boards, looks like it has the GOUAY part number.

You don't have it , sorry.

Yours is the same as mine. You only need it for 400 fsb+

Thats not very good news :( but i see others in the extreme forum to have pushed them pass 450 unmodded.

Get em off and whack some 40mm fans on.

You appear to be using the same mobo/fan as myself (all be it I have not put fans onto the motherboard as such) - may I ask how much you have overclocked it by? Did you have to disable that hyperpath 3 in the BIOS to get it to overclock?

Oh aye and what CPU are you using? I have the E6600. Do those motherboard fans really make a big difference to the motherboard temperature?

2B means the size or the boldness of the pencil tips ;) It's printed on the body of the pen which says 2B, 3B ....

B stands for soft leads and H is for hard leads. There is a range the higher the number the more soft or hard the lead. in the middle you have HB.

so the range could be

very soft & dark - 6B 5B 4B 3B 2B B HB H 2H 3H 4H 5H 6H - very hard & light

Im using a E6600 and its @ 3ghz using 333fsb and ddr @ 833, hyperpath disabled, and still on stock volts. Its very stable. The fans are excellent keep my motherboard temp at 43c, before hand it was up in the 50s.

25% overclock to be precise, im happy with that. :p

For me the motherboard never goes above 47c max and I have no fans attached directly to it (right now it is at about 45c).

EDIT - Now I have finally done that successfully may I ask what memory timings you use? Do you have it set to auto or have you set them manually and if so to what? Currently I have my Corsair C4 stuff at 5-5-5-12. I know 4-4-4-12 fails miserably but I have not tried anything in between.
