I recently ported my number over to O2 as an interim between 2 3 contracts. I was hoping then be able to port back easily enough. However i cut up my sim card to get it into my Iphone.

O2 now need the sim number for security but thats in the cut away section which is now lost. Is there anywhere else i can find this infomation as the only alternative is to top up which seems a bit pointless.

(I accept that me topping up is probably a fair thing to do since otherwise i'm exploiting o2 for my own gain!)
 
I'm sure you can put up a big enough argument for them to prove it's your sim by other means
E.g. no one else has registered the sim, you are in possession of it, etc, etc..

I don't know how you can find the sim number...
